Camping at Carding Bay Camping offers beautiful views during the day and awesome stargazing in the evening.

With this being a working farm, the livestock is rotated around the fields. Although we aim to always place you in a field with a sea view. On rare occasions, this may not be possible due to the livestock rotation. Please ask on booking as to the rotation of stock during your visit.

We allow fires around the camp, just ask for a fire bowl if you haven’t been provided with one already. This is for the safety of the animals and other campers on the farm.

With all the ongoing changes around groups, numbers, and group crossover, we felt it’s still too early to rent some of our tents for this year (they can be tricky to clean at the best of times). This year, our camping pitches are bring your own.

Once you arrive at the farm, we will show you to your pitch where you can settle in for your stay with us.

Cooking & Campfires

We do allow gas stoves for cooking at pitches or cooking over a fire if you have the right equipment. We do have camp cooking gas stoves for hire. They are £5 a night.

Please let us know in advance if you require a camp stove so we can make sure it’s got gas! The last thing we want is for you to go hungry!

Toilets & Showers

The toilets and showers are located in the old dairy.

We’ve turned the old milking stalls into toilet stalls. We’ve also built the shower blocks in the same area.

This is a genuine farm experience!

We’re assigning a single toilet and shower to each booking. That way, across your stay, the people from your bubble will be the only people using your toilet and shower. The toilets and showers are regularly sanitised.

Are We Pet Friendly?

Of course!

We’re a working farm. We’re working with animals every day and we love animals.

So long as your pets are friendly, we’re happy to welcome your furry besties.

Please do remember we have cattle and sheep – so, if you’re going to bring your dog, please bring a lead.

Covid-19 Policies

Covid-19 has altered the world.

Your safety and ours is very important to us.

Where we have common spaces (we have a small W/C block) we have looked at how guests can safely use these facilities.

Your health and safety is important to us – as is ours. Therefore, we have adjusted our booking and spacing requirements.

We are now taking additional time between stays. This gives us the time to more thoroughly sanitise areas for a safer experience.

We’ve also changed access enabling everyone to keep a safe distance from those not in their travelling groups.

For more information on Covid and how you may be affected, please see here.
